Our series on Elijah continues this week. As we face trials and opposition we can either trust God or work things out in our own strength. We can either seek the Father in our uncertainty or we can trust in dumb luck. We can operate in faith or in folly. See what Elijah has to tell us, Sunday at 9:15 and 11 a.m. (Posted 5/1/20)

Latest Update 3/19/2020 8:30 a.m.
Good morning...we decided to change the layout of this page to allow newer posts to be placed at the top, and a history of posts that follow.
For the time being the 'new normal' is online worship...and last night's virtual church went wonderfully. People have told us they were singing with Pastor Matt, praying with Pastor Carl, and they were so impressed and informed about the prison ministry of Harry Fletcher.
Join us tonight at 6:30 as Pastor Drew hosts his first Frontlines group online! His study, God's Promise of Peace, will be particularly timely given our current circumstances. Please tune in, and feel free to add comments or prayer requests either on our webcast or on our Facebook page, Facebook.com/cbcbft.
Are you a CBC member and haven't yet 'Connected"? Our new Connect App allows our community to stay connected and informed as well as update personal information, give and review year-to-date giving. Interested? Email us at and ask about the Connect app.

At Community Bible Church both the physical and spiritual safety of our congregation is paramount.
As you are well aware the world is in the middle of a pandemic never-before experienced by our generation. The leadership of Community Bible Church is cooperating with federal and state authorities which are recommending group meetings be limited to 10 persons or less. Consequently, we will be switching from in-person to live-streamed worship services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings until further notice.
All summer missions trips abroad are canceled. We are evaluating local trips, e.g. Camp Grace and YMCA VBS.
The Easter Blitz and Eggstravaganza are both canceled.
All activities at all our campuses are canceled with the exception of Meet the Pastor gatherings. This includes:
Sunday morning worship services. Although we will not be gathering in person at any of our campuses, we will be live-streaming at both 9:15 and 11 a.m. We will include music, baptisms, and the study from God's Word. Live streaming is available on this web site (https://communitybiblechurch.us.live). This will give a real community feel as there is an opportunity to chat, to take notes, and to share prayer requests.
Our worship services will also be on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cbcbft/.
If you have a ROKU player or an Apple TV the image and sound quality is outstanding. If you haven't yet downloaded the app that allow these players to carry CBC programming, you can find it by searching "Community Bible Church US" on the Apple TV and ROKU app stores.
Other cancellations include:
Sunday evening - AWANA kids program, Crossroads Youth Choir.
Upward Sports practices (weekdays at 5:30 p.m.)
The Men's Tuesday morning Bible study, that normally meets in Rm. 115 and the Missions Café.
CBCCA homeschool support meetings as well as the Ironworker's men's meeting.
The Wednesday morning women's Bible study.
Wednesday evening children's activities and in-person Wednesday Worship and Bible Study. Instead we are streaming the service live.
Thursday evening Choir and Orchestra practices and puppet team rehearsals
Thursday evening Frontlines youth meeting is canceled, although Pastor Drew will be live streaming on the Frontlines Facebook Group.
We continue to closely monitor this situation and will continue to communicate plans through this web site and through social media.
