July Wednesday Prayer Meetings

Every Wednesday from 07/07/2021 to 07/28/2021

During July we encourage families to host Wednesday evening prayer fellowships. Call your friends and invite them over.

Do you have a prayer need? Submit your request at the bottom of this page.

Here are some prayer requests and ideas:

Julie Griffin had serious complications after her hysterectomy and had to have a second surgery.  She is was discharge Wednesday afternoon. Please keep her and her husband Keith in prayer for an infection-free recovery.

Pray for the Holst Family.  Kim was due with their next child who had been diagnosed with Trisome 18, but in this 2nd trimester the child has died. Prayers for the family at this stillbirth.

Tuesday, Landon Greenwalt, suffered a concussion and brain bleed and was taken to MUSC in Charleston.  Thanks to nswered prayers and a powerful God, the bleeding stopped and no surgery was required.  Prayer for continued recuperation as they keep Landon at MUSC ICU under observation a couple more days.

MaryAnn Ruggles had a stroke while visiting family in Portland OR., this week.  Thankfully, there is currently no paralysis, but she is very disoriented and is to be discharged July 26, stay with her sister in Portland until her flight back Aug 6.  Memory about places, dates, times and faces are incongruous (sometimes don't match), and her speech will require intensive therapy upon their (Fred and Mary Ann) return.

Nancy Madara had a successful Reverse Shoulder Replacement Friday, July 23, and is asking for quick recovery and minimal pain through therapy.

Jimmy Griffin, husband to Kat, has stage 4 cancer and recently had surgery to remove some tumors.  Asking prayers for important decisions about continued procedures.  Jimmy was discharged but is still weak at home.

Prayers for Judy Madison as she is on her 3rd antibiotic for acute diverticulitis.

We ask for special grace and comfort for those families that have recently lost loved ones; Troy Livingston's mother who passed, Marcee Chown's husband, Donn, and Melissa Pridgen's father.

We give praise for the resources as CBC partners with our missionaries overseas as they construct a small seminary for the training and proclamation of the gospel.

We've had a good turnout for the CBC Vacation Bible School this week. Pray for good weather; safety for all; and, most important, that many would come to faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord for the many volunteers that have offered to serve our children during this fabulous time. Over 450 children registered.

We pray for the CBC members that will be offering help as they volunteer for the upcoming Upward Sports season.

Molly Waidner asks prayer for her sister's friend, Suzanne who is terribly sick with Covid. In hospital ICU, in Atlanta. Her husband has asked for immediate prayer. She's been on ventilator for long time. They wanted to put a tracheotomy in today but nose and throat bleeding. She's 55, 1 adult child and one grandson. She is a believer as well, her hubby. He said in desperation, "Lord willing, they need a breakthrough."

Brett Keisling has been diagnosed with aggressive renal cancer.  Brett is a Christian from his youth.  Pray for the medical team and his parents as decisions are made relative to his treatment and care.  Pray also that this present circumstance in all their lives will "bring many sons to glory" as the Lord fulfills His purposes. (From Ken and Pearl Keisling...Brett is their oldest son.)

Prayers for the local body of Christ at CBC and we ask for the Lord’s will to be accomplished.

Mamie Eady - prayer for her upcoming knee surgery.

Dee Franks - prayer for healing of his hip.

Bud & Nancy Madara’s grandson as he is a young man dealing with the recent passing of his mother.

Bob McDonough - prayer for a successful procedure at the hospital and for strengthening of his body.

We lift up the Nelson family as they grieve the loss of their mother and wife, M Nelson.

We continue to pray and ask for protection as we continue to learn how to live with COVID-19 still cycling in our community.

We pray for the many missionaries that are supported by CBC.
We ask that you give the few that will share next month wisdom as they prepare their plans to share with the CBC family.

Safety, favorable weather, many decisions for Christ at the FLOW - our teen event Aug. 2 - 7.

We lift up the local body of Christ at CBC:

Viktor V.’s grandfather as he is nearing his last days on this earth.  Comfort for the family that comes with the peace that only our Lord can provide.

We lift up the several families that will be moving along in their military moves.  May they find a gospel-centric community to serve with in their new assignment.

Please pray for Karl and Fran Davis as they look for a temporary home to lease in this area.

From some of our missionaries:

We received word from United World Mission that one of our supported missionaries, Altaf Nasseem, passed away from COVID complications, and Soy, an African pastor, passed away from a shortage of necessary medicines caused from COVID supply shortages.  Please keep our missionaries lifted up in prayer!
