CBC Beaufort

Welcome

If you are visiting with us for the first time you probably have many questions. We have tried to answer many of them for you below, but if there is anything we haven't covered, click here and we'll do our best to get you an answer asap.

  1. YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!
Whether you are young or old, regardless of ethnicity, social or economic status, whether you are currently on a mountaintop or a spiritual valley, whatever your background and situation...God loves you, and so do we! Come, just as you are.

  2. Where do I park?
If you are visiting with us for the first time on a Sunday and you have kids ages 0-12, we have a specially designated area in front of the building facing the fountain. This is our children's wing and a member of our concierge team will greet you and give you a brief tour of all our kid-friendly choices. If you are visiting for the first time on a Sunday or on a Wednesday evening and don't have any kids with you, there are 'visitor' spaces behind the children's building. Just park and walk towards the main building. There should be greeters (wearing a badge) to direct you or to answer any questions you may have.

  3. What type of worship music can I expect?
We know people come from a variety of backgrounds, and this is reflected in our worship. Our music is a blend of many great hymns and contemporary worship and praise songs that honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  4. Children
Your children are your most precious possession; and we treat them as such. CBC is hyper-vigilant about both your children's physical and spiritual safety. To ensure this, we maintain certain policies. Only kids and their parents are allowed to enter the children's building, and all who enter must check-in and must be wearing the label given them containing their check-in code. All our teachers and volunteers are women or married couples and have passed a stringent background check. Additionally, extensive surveillance is in place throughout. Regarding curriculum, we make use of teaching materials that are in line with the fundamentals of the Christian faith, that are biblically based, and that reflect the Bible as being absolute Truth, without error and inspired by God.

  5. Adult Bible Fellowships
As our worship services grow, it is sometimes easy to feel like a stranger in a crowd. Our Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) offer the opportunity to meet individuals with similar interests in a smaller setting, thus helping to develop relationships. We refer to these groups as Adult Bible Fellowships rather than Sunday School because they are structured to encourage participation by all, rather than a teacher lecturing for an hour. Find out more and see our listing of various ABFs here.
